For whatever reason, I can sleep 6 hours and spring out of bed in the morning and be fine all day. I get 8 hours of sleep, I feel really tired in the morning and ready to go to sleep at 3pm.
I haven't been able to make any sense of it. I can work out the night of 6 hours, and have an off day the night of 8 hours, and I'll still be tired after the 8

^precisely. everyone has sleeping cycles. at least 8 of them i think.
when i'm up doing an essay, or studying for a test, i find it easier to never go to sleep and go to class than to sleep, wake up and go to class.

I'm naturally on a 32 hour sleep pattern, but that's tough to live with being awake for different periods of the day every day. It wouldn't bother me, but jobs wouldn't like it very much, and interacting with people would be tough. I like to be awake for 22 hours then sleep 10. I can't go to sleep after being awake only 16 hours. So what I end up doing is staying up late every night, forcing myself to go to bed, then being groggy when I wake up after 3-5 hours of sleep.
