Default Braces

So while my parents never had the most money as a kid, we got by but had to give up certain luxuries. Unfortunately braces were something I never had the privilege of getting even though my teeth started to develop all funny. Now as I’m older, I have decided enough is enough and get my grill all fixed up. Both upper and bottom teeth are jacked to hell, due to crowding (still have my wisdom teeth in still). If I were to go with braces, I’m sure they would have to be in for at least 2 or 3 years with countless trips to the dentist for tightening and check ups, and then I would have to wear a retainer every night too once they come out. Braces are the cheapest way to fix everything, another idea is to have the crooked teeth ripped out and have a bridge permanently put in their place. This would be an instant fix but about twice the price. I’m not excited about the idea of having a mouth full of metal. I’m not a candidate for invisible braces since they are for minor fixes. Those that have/had braces as an adult, how difficult was it? I think its different for adults compared to kid when it comes to self consciousness.

Get the impacted teeth out and then look into "inside" braces that push out instead of pulling teeth in.

It's not difficult to do anything as an adult, unless you make it difficult. Your attitude is what you make it. So have a great time and make jokes if people make jokes.

example: in 3 years my teeth will be straight but you'll still be an ugly so-and-so

I had braces when I was younger, best thing I went through.

I can't stress this enough, find a GOOD orthodontist, not the chain-store crap.

As far as retainers, I'm down to once every other week or so to keep them spaced, not really a big deal.

You can get invisalign's for your retainers as well, I had them till they went into a trash can back in highschool... too expensive to have replaced, so I now have the wire ones.

I had some jacked up teeth. Went to a very good Orthodontist and got Invisalign. Love them
