Default Any diabetics here?

Is this for real? Reversing diabetes by diet alone? Even Type 1? Seems hard to believe.

I am. But for me it would be hard get rid of it by dieting and exercise(it runs in the family). It is possible but not everyone can do it. It's the same as lowering your cholesterol and blood pressure with proper diet and exercise.

My MIL is diabetic. The doctors' solution was an almost all-carb diet (breads/pasta) with rice cake snacks. It's hard to know if they just want to kill her or what. I am firmly convinced that a large proportion of diabetics could be cured by diet and exercise . . . and that they won't, because they love their (insert terrible non-food product) and hate walking as far as the fridge. Especially if they drink "diet" meal replacement shakes, which tend to be formulated to spike blood sugar about as hard as possible. But hey, it's a meal through a straw and you're not even in hospital! Yet. /rant
