I've dealt with this ailment for years, and have taken daily doses of (early on PRESCRIPTION, now OTC) Nexium to combat it. However, I've been hearing lately that studies are linking Alzheimer's with a steady intake of these antacid medications. So I've decided to stop taking the Nexium.



Curious what others are using to fight acid reflux and heartburn.

 

I've only had light problems with heartburn but changing to sleeping on my left side made a huge difference. I doubt it would fix it for people with terrible issues, but it's worth a try in addition to whatever else you're doing. On your left side the opening to the stomach is at the top.

 

Do you have a gluten allergy? Try going off all gluten and see if that solves your problem.
