Final day everyone... This ends Sunday, 11:59pm pacific time. Or 2:59am Monday morning for you east coasters.. =)

With the weaker support this round, I doubt I'll run this gb again. Considering them canadians said at least 10 from them, and a few ppl on diff forums wanting kits and here we sit, deadline time round 2, 7 orders.

Please don't get me wrong here, I'll never complain about not being able to buy stuff, considering the weak wages and high cost of everything today. I guess I just figured, a year later, open to everyone, everywhere, the turnout would have been better then what we did last year, just here.

I'll continue to offer anything stainless on the website once it's up -n- running right, just know pricing won't be gb worthy.

thanks guys

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (stauf @ Jun 20 2008, 01:26 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Availability: Kits will be made at the end of the GB. Shipping within 2 weeks of GB end date</div>

The group buy closed on the 3rd. Will that mean that the Kits have already shipped or are going out this week?

Anyone ever install their set from the old GB? I finally installed mine yesterday, and ran into a couple of problems.

1. The metal standoff tab on the front lines isn't long enough. It WORKS, but should be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer to keep the line away from the strut. I measured it with the stock line, and the stock line standoff is longer.

2. The rear lines, the little nut in the center of the line that is supposed to hold the line in place on the strut (with the clip from the OEM lines) doesn't work right. You mount it like the OEM one and with just a little vibration, the clip pops off and the nut comes out of the mount, allowing the hose to rub on the mounting bracket or come completely out of it. The reason for this being that the nut in this set doesn't cover the hole in the mount like the OEM ones do, allowing it to wiggle instead of being held in place. Solution for me was to put 2 very thin zip ties through the nut (it is VERY loose on the hose BTW) and zip tie it to the bracket, then with a rubber mallet, smack the clip into place. It still wiggles, and I'm afraid it's probably still enough to let the clip come loose eventually, but it's working for now.

3. Not going to be a huge issue here, but you need some WD40 for the front lines. The standoffs are very VERY hard to move, and if you try to push them to get them where you want them, the urethane coating will not participate. Solution? Bend the rubber part of the standoff away from the hose and spray some WD40 on it, and the entirity of the outside of the line. Do this a few times around it and you should be able to move it easily, just wipe off any excess WD40.

I hope the next set isn't like this. I haven't had any leaks, and the lines are very high quality obviously. The front line issue isn't THAT big of a deal, but it still should be corrected to ensure the hose can't abrade against the back of the strut. The rear line issue can be a MAJOR problem, and I'll keep looking for a more permanant solution to it, but either way, neither of these problems should have cropped up at all. I've got my lines on, bled, and don't really want to do it all again, but i did take some pics that I'll upload later. In addition, i DO still have my OEM lines if they are needed to verify how long this should be, and what size/shape the rear line mounts should be at.

Due to this mornings conversation, and in light of Redz issues, shipping is suspended until some details are cleared up and hopefully changes can be made. I'll know more about the chances of that later today.

If anyone bought these during last years gb or otherwise and had them installed, please post up regarding your setup and the installation of the kit.

Thanks, Stauf
