Here you go.

Now, my camera just doesn't do these justice, the ring is absolutely mirror perfect. My dad almost SHAT himself from the difference between the first look and this one.
I also polished the hell out of my custom Ebrake handle, and replaced the screws with black ones so it matched.
Ithink it looks fantastic! UrSONvuS, can you get someone to make me a new stainless cap for the top of my shift knob? Maybe if I send you one?
I'll post up a DIY on how to properly polish aluminum, as the lessons I learned were so easy to follow.
The Ebrake rings are coming off, going to get done properly will post new pics.

damn that looks niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiccceee
how the hell am i supposed to be differnt form yours when we have the same stuff bud, lol.
oh yuh, i bought some of that stuff off of you, duh.
depending on the thickness of that cap anything can be done but adding the shift pattern on top is probably gonna cost a crapload.
um, where did you get seat heaters??? I want some
ok, newsbreak
romeo's ring has been sent to jon and teflon's ring has been sent also.
mad_john and bullfrog:
the only two unpolished rings i had left were prototype version that didn't have all the neccessary slots and holes done in them. the fastest Merlin told me he could get them to me was this coming tuesday. I will then ship them out asap. sorry for teh delay on that guys.

Looks real good. I'll be getting mine into my car this weekend. Please do that DIY on the polishing.
I want to paint my shift pattern too but not sure how to go about it. Small small paint brush? lol
Offtopic, anyone know where I can get the rubber edge trim like what RED Z has on his floor mats? I need two 4ft sections.

OOOOhhh Z! I love the accent in the gear shift pattern!
TibMoo: that looks like weather stripping.
Let me know if you need pix on polishing something for the DIY Z. I can get excellent pix of a Before/after on a nasty old looking chrome intake.

And thank you. LOL I love the way it looks. i just wish I had a metal cap for the release button. any way we could do that and make it to fit under the ebrake rings?

No, half of the reason i don't want the OEM one on there is because of the shift pattern. i'll order a spare one, have it sent to you, and see if you can get a replacement cap done for the top. It would make more stuff in there compliment eachother.
Also, next we need to do stainless metal rings for the heater vents. LOL

The buttons and stuff are from the UK, via member hobgoblin. had a GB on them some time ago. i don't have any heaters in, yet.

DIy will be done later today if i can, please remind me via PM.
Painting was easy, i just got some thick craft paint, smeared it all over until the pattern was full, then wiped it clean with a damp paper towel. A couple of passes, it was done.
The rubber edging stuff, thta's hard. this CAME on the mats, I tried DIY'ing it on my last mats, and it didn't work at all, it all peeled off within months.
Pep Boys has it.

moo, that stuff is called pinchmolding. any a/c , heater guy should have some you could buy. good stuff
another place to look for it is any place that makes trailers as they line the holes where electrical lines pass through.

I talked to Merlin tonight about my latest project, should be shown around the first of april, something many people in here have wanted that the GKer's have, not anymore.
