This is it! I've got quotes and come up with a final price for these. However, we MUST have at least 30 sold at this price or it will cost more. I've already recieved one part from this company and they do a great job. All the rings will be polished.

I'll break down the pricing so you know what all is involved in making these:

$53 for each ring (with a 30 count) Made here in USA!!!
$4 est. for the hardware (8 screws, 8 nuts)
$5 for the prototype cost (this is a huge hit, but I'm not gonna make 30 before knowing it fits perfect)
$7 for shipping from them, to me, to you
$3 Paypal fees

Now, I need to get a tally of who's FOR SURE interested and will be ready to pay once the 30 mark has been hit. Your name will go on the list. Once we know we have at least 30 people ready to buy, then this will start and require <u>immediate payment</u>!!!!
I will then send the money for the prototype to them, and will get it back well within a week and I'll show you pics. It only took them 3 days to get me a different item. They're quick! Once the prototype checks out, then the rest of the payment will be sent for the group order.

I'm in, but 2 things you might want to consider.

<strike>1. I think you mis wrote, we need 8 screws and 8 nuts. Otherwise how do you secure the other 4 screws through? If you are doing the idea you had where we put 4 screws through, and cut the heads off of 4 of them and glue them in, I am not buying, and I think you'll have several others not buy then.</strike>

2. You REALLY should have everyone pay first, and just stock up the money. If you don't, you'll have a BUNCH of folks at the end that won't pay, or you suddenly can't get a hold of, then everyone else will be waiting for you to find replacements. You can look at any GB done on any forum ever, it is GOING to happen.

Think about it folks, does your RD1 have one of these STOCK? No. So this one IS NOT FOR YOU. NOW, if you want to swap to the RD2 shifter surround, YES< this i for you.

As for overseas, if he won't ship there, buy it and have it shipped to me, I'll ship it to you.

Well, the reason that I asked was because 1. He didn't specify which one and 2. He's getting them made. I've seen prefab ones out there in the past but they were always for RD2s. I know that a lot of RD1 owners would love to have one as well, so I was just hoping maybe this would include us.

1. Doesn't need to specify it, you should know if your car has one or not. LOL

2. Yes, he's getting them made, he's got a RD2. I've never seen a "prefabbed" one out there for a RD2, but I've seen a few chrome ones for the RD1 that attach to the inside of the shifter surround. The RD2 has a RING inset, for the OEM ones, the RD1 does not. If you guys had an inset, he could get one made for you, but you don't. He also DOES have a link to the one LARRS had made, and that should help you know if you have one in your car or not.

I'll go ahead and put the RD2 in the title.
