Who wants to do a group buy with me on some Carbon hoods? I will be getting a mold done soon but it will be cheaper if I get more people buying it. The guy doing it does a lot of Aerospace stuff but he also does cars. His work is the best I've seen and I will post some pics of hoods he has done later today or tomorrow.

I would like a Group Buy on a reverse Vented CF hood (so you look into vents from cabin). I would have to see a prototype, or the first hood so I can see the fitment and make sure it lines up. I was actually waiting on MOTIV to come out with their hood, and I probably will buy from them, since I can trust the quality and fitment.

I might be interested, I would also like the reverse vented look, there is on on ebay that has reverse vents i believe but it is f/g http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2433558357
but there is the issue of fitment, a couple of friends of mine just got thier c/f hoods for thier elantras last week, and the quality is "ok" and the fitment is not "perfect"
I guess it will all depend on the price.

He can do any style we want but it would help if I had more people. Right now it’s going to cost a bit cause he has to make a mold, but it will be top quality so everything including the fitments will be perfect. At the moment he is making a new hood for my friends supra and he using my friends TRD one for the mold. The finishing product though, will have better venting for his turbo set up. Although this is for a race car!

Good lord man. That's outrageous. For a hood?
Goodness. HP's sister site, the one for custom components is starting them up soon, for like $400. I'm not trying to burst bubbles, but you can get CF hoods for half that price. Good ones.

Well I'm just going by what I know and see. These hoods are the best I've seen and he makes a bunch for a lot of race cars that my friend has worked on. Oh well!
