I got mine like 2 days ago.
Mixed reactions.
1. I took mine into the dealer with my VIN and they cut me a new key on it. Had to explain to them exactly what I wanted, but they did it. Cost me $5.82. GO MAKE SURE THEY WORK BEFORE YOU PAY FOR THEM.
2. After mine were cut, I went out to test it. Didn't work in the trunk, didn't work in the door, and I couldn't turn it easily in the ignition. I pushed it in a bit and it would turn BARELY. So, I finally managed to get it to start the car, but it wouldn't come out of the ignition. For 5 minutes. I finally pushed it really hard INTO the ignition and tried turning it carefully and it moved very slowly. Something popped and it finally came out. I Took it back into the dealer, had them clean it up a bit and run the smoother over the teeth a bit. This time it worked without much of a hassle at ALL in all 3 places.
2. These aren't very sturdy. Mine feels like it's going to break everytime I turn the ignition. May be the ordeal I went through, so I'm gonna take one apart and look at it, and I may have to swap to the second one I bought. Which will leave me with one that's pretty much no good.

HOLY SHIT REDZ.. u had some problems.. why did you go to the dealer? i went to a hardware store and got it cut, using my other key as a template.. cost me 75 cents.. works perfect in every door.. lol.. only neg. comment i have is a lil slop in the spring or w/e mechanism it is. it doesnt fully close, kinda doesnt lay flush, and when its open theres a lil slop. but no bigge.. works good, and mine doesnt feel like itll fall apart at all.
just wanted to comment on it, sorry to bring the thread back up

You should read the thread man. NONE of the keys I've ever had for any Hyundai, every copied by the template method at any store, have ever worked in the ignition. Most of them wouldn't even open a door reliably.
I use this key every day now, no problems. When you go to the dealer, they actually cut the key with a punch gun, that does it perfectly.

yah i know how they do it at the dealer.. its just strange, cuz ive never had problems with the local hardware cutting stores around here.. it just seems weird that they are that innaccurate.. it just seems like the people doing it must be incompetant, cuz it should be fairly easy to do it right.. maybe mine was done right cuz i threatened the kid, since it wasnt like i could just easily buy another blank. lol
