Ok well it seems like there is some interest so i will go about taking some pictures next thursday of the motor and which bolts would need to be changed and which of their part numbers would work and i will contact them regarding it to get some prices and general info

 

I replaced all my bolts already, but this might help:




Theres a few things though to help you out.

There aren't 8 hood bolts there are 6 bolts and 2 nuts. 4 10mm bolts in the hood, 2 12mm bolts on the car and 2 12mm nuts on the car.

The rad brackets are 12mm

The strut nuts are 14mm I believe.

The rest are 10mm then.

There are even more bolts to replace than I circled in the pic but I didn't want to go overboard. These are things I didn't mark in the pic:

Theres the brackets holding the throttle cable, the nuts on the tb, some ac line nuts, any nuts you have on the battery tie down, a few ground spots, the bolts that hold the plastic wire cover under the wiper motor, the bolts if you relocated the sensor for your strut bar, and any other visible bolts you used to mount custom/aftermarket items.

I replaced close to a hundred bolts so far some you can't see so theres no point to use these for those spots but you get the idea.


The price is way too much IMO considering 36 pcs. is only 18 bolts and 18 fancy washers. The bolts look similar to what I bought and I think a bag of 25 SS bolts was under $20.

I wonder if they could make a buy just for the washers then I would be interested.

more than likely when we go to order these guys we need to give the thread size, not the head size in terms of metric sizes. they might have some type of conversion chart but i wouldnt trust that. I would hate for someone to order a shitload of 10 mm bolts and find out they shouldve ordered i think 6mm.

 

I can grab the actual thread sizes tonight.

But they will be M6, M8, and maybe a couple M10? Just not sure on pitch off hand

I believe the thread size on the 10mm bolts is 6mm x 1. I don't remember the 12mm i'm thinking it was 8mm x 1 but i'm not 100% on that one.

On my post above I forgot to mark the bolts for the spark plug cover since it wasn't in the pic. Just so no one forgets them.

 

there is also two versions of the washers

6b (standard version) 10mm wide

6b (wide version) 18mm wide

the 18mm might work on the radiator brackets, will have to measure.

If i sound excited its cause i will be doing this. since my motor will be coming out soon since the other car is completed now, i can take as much time trying to figure out exactly what i need washer size wise.

holy shit!!! they even have a kit for the new Gen Coupe already figured out, talk about being on the ball,lol.

Shit, you should just make some of these for us. Imagine how easy it would be.

 

The bolts they use I have here. A ton of them. Its the washers that cost. And washers like that can be bought I think (or similar). The thing is powdercoating them or anodizing.

 

you can get the bolts/screws/socket head cap screws in SS/chrome anywhere.. the washers are the ONLY unique thing about these.
