slotted are actually better than cross drilled
slotted make the pads maintain a even contact patch
cross drilled tend to crack

The slots do that by scraping the surface of the pads. Does a good job but also wears the pads much faster than normal. I have cross-drilled rotors on my Tiburon and have had no problems with them. It's a matter of personal preference, in my opinion.

I just looked at them a few days ago and I have none of that at all. But they've only been on the car for about four months and I've put about 7,000 kms on them. They've seen the worst weather conditions and temperatures though given our winter up here. Have to wait and see how they hold up in the long term.
