Prototype set should be on the way to me shortly folks.

I know our IM studs and TB studs are identical, both M8 studs, anyone remember the length?

Mmmm,

Even though I only have like $300, I want in on this. But I wonder how much of a gain there is? Is the only difference the fact that your IM doesn't heat up over time? Is this dyno proven or is it a waste of money? Also, how thick is this spacer going to be? And will I have to bore out the TB spacer (65mm TB)? I cannot commit 100%, as I do not know how long it will take for this to ship out (and if I put on the airram as soon as I get it - which I will, I don't want to have to take it off and put it on again). Would the hondata spacer be just as good? Because it is only $60. Thanks guys and redz. smile.gif

I'll add you to the list.

The average gain is 3 to 5% HP. The difference is that you are sucking in colder air, for the entire time the engine is running. This is PROVEN, do some searching here for the stuff we've posted on them, or go to www.outlawengineering.com and look at all the info.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Also, how thick is this spacer going to be?</div>

They are about 1/4 inch, plus gaskets. They come with new studs.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>And will I have to bore out the TB spacer (65mm TB)?</div>

You'll have to cut out a bit, shouldn't be hard at all mang.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I cannot commit 100%, as I do not know how long it will take for this to ship out (and if I put on the airram as soon as I get it - which I will, I don't want to have to take it off and put it on again).</div>

Unkay, so are you in or not then? You said above you were. These will be easy to install later. Faithofadragon has taken off his IM several times now and it's much easier than you think. The bracket that causes all the trouble to get the IM off doesn't go back on with the Airram. So you undo like 6 nuts, back the airram off, swap the studs, then put the gaskets and spacer on, then remount the Airram.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Would the hondata spacer be just as good? Because it is only $60. Thanks guys and redz. smile.gif</div>

I've got one of those, and it's not that well made. After my engineering classes last semester, I can confirm the Hondata is NOT phenolic plastic, and will lead to some heating of the IM. More than a true phenolic plastic like Outlaw uses.

YES.

Most definately.

It's the mod that keeps on giving. Like a BBTB.

You in?
