Group buy for Heated Seat Pads
A DIY to install these can be found here: http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtop...&hl=seat+heater
These are being offered by HeatedSeatKits.com
Complete kit, with optional professional installation kit
12 inches by 21 inches long (21 inches can be reduced) Carbon-Fiber heating pad
Detailed instructions with schematics (or just follow the DIY on these forums)
Dual temperature switch (high/off/low) This switch is lighted so we can hook it up to our illumination to come on with the rest of our interior lights/switches
Low = Green Light, High = Red Light
Takes 2-5 mins to heat up
All new wiring harness with latest connectors
Power: Standard 12 volts
Can be installed in any vehicle
Used by Dealerships and Upholsterors worldwide
2 year Manufacturer Limited Warranty
On special now for $120 each, limited time offer while supplies last.
Remember, one kit heats one seat, if you want to heat both you'll need two kits.
These are different than the last GB because these are their brand new model, new wiring connectors for an easier install, a new quicker heating carbon-fiber element, and those awesome 2-stage hi/lo on/off ILLUMINATED switches.
Right now, this is basically a feeler post. The first quote I got from these guys was $85 shipped per kit. I may be able to talk them down, depending on how many kits we will sell.
So, if you think you might be interested, post up. I don't want to organize a GB with these guys if there's no interest and look like a fool. Although, $85 is a pretty good price in itself, down from $120.
Also, I was thinking of personally producing a housing which would take place of the little triangle holder in your middle console with two 3/4" holes drilled for the switches to fit perfect. This is the place where the OEM heated seat switches go. For something like this I would probably charge about $15 shipped, no 3%. This would be a nice place to mount these switches. If you think you might be interested in that, please say so in your post also.
Thanks guys, lets make this happen.

The old ones were 75, I don't think they're going to go any lower than 85 though, all the more I could get out of them was 3% free and free shipping.

email from the company ... :
Hello Kabir,
Yes, we can sell our seat heaters to you for your forum member at $85USD a piece, you would need two kits for two seats. The new H2 seat heaters that we sell has 2 colored dual temperature lighted switches. The last group buy didn't have this, as we only released the H2 model three weeks ago. We accept, PayPal, Visa, Amex, and Mastercard.
They won't go any lower than 85, still it is a good price though.
$170 gets two kits, free shipping and paypal, easy install.

ok, maybe the switches are different.
regardless though, its still a good price. you may want to do some talking with some of the distributors on ebay. i see the price has gone done a bunch, you could probably get the compnay you are working with now down lower if you give them a price to beat from the ebay guys.

I already did, these same kits are $80 on ebay, but without the "new switches", but I'd gladly pay $5 more to have an illuminated/colored switch, and the guarantee that we're buying these from the manufacturer, not ebay; so it's worth it. They won't come down anymore in price.
The deal is that these are $85 a piece, regardless of how many we get, but the thing is you can only get the $85 price if you buy with this GB, otherwise the price is $120. So we will probably just close this buy whenever we feel we have enough, no set limit or time yet.
So, I guess GB starts here, $85 a piece.
Who wants in?
