Read the thread perhaps?

I'm assuming you don't want me to do the comparison?

red are you sure your kits are 55w? every HID kit i've seen is 35w, it one of the benefits of hid lighting. more light with lower power consumption which = lower strain on electrical system as well as less heat generated.

Ditto, I dont think I have ever seen a 55 watt HID system. Mine is pretty damn bright and its only 35 watt.

Great price, wish I could get a set. Gotta get other things paid off before getting more toys. 02.gif

^^
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The 55W HID's are not necessarily better. Some cars (mostly european) needs the 55W version, so that their cars computer wont know that the lights have been changed. If the computer detects a 35W lighting system, the car will think that theres a problem with the lighting system, and will give a error message, and even sometimes, wont start.</div>

We only need 35W.

I'll double check, but I'm pretty sure.

After doing some looking online, it looks as if they are 35W for these Meccatune kits.

I'm getting some from our new vendor here for sure, just gotta wait till Tuesday. Probably order 2 sets.

Ok next dumb HID question?

Whats the relay harness? Is it the Battery relay harness from the website? And is it necessary for RD tiburons to get this? I don't think I have daytime running lights.

Payment sent!

The relay kits are not needed for our cars. If you had a special circumstance where the HIDs were going to be on daytime running lights and you didn't want that, being powered by some other source, or by just one headlamp for some reason, you'd want the kit. Because you are lowering the power consumed by the headlamps by switching to HIDs, there is actually less load on your stock wiring. This means the HIDs are safer to run in your car without a relay then the stock headlamps.
