That's right guys. Chris is on his way to Canadia and asked me to post this for him really quickly. Tom, the main guy at APE, is APE SHIT about making parts for us. He finally had a few hours to sit with Blacktibs' RD2 and got the traction bars knocked out for us.
They look, and from what I hear, they work great.
Here's the info.
ITEM
APE Traction Bars
NOTE!
The above pictures are of the prototype kit. The actual kit is getting, that's right, redesigned to give it more ground clearance. If the current geometry cannot be kept with the new design, the CURRENT design will be kept, as it's crucial to get these to work CORRECTLY.
DESCRIPTION
This item is a Traction bar which keeps the Geometry of the car stiff so that the A arms dont flex while driving, almost completey eliminating wheel hop, and getting all your power to the GROUND.
These meant for cars with stock bushings, and basically defeat the purpose of having polyurethane squeaking bushings. Tom said if you have some, like the Yaya's he was showed, that the bar could Bind.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>These kept me and Spiffy (Spiffyworks) from ANY wheel hop for me, I think he said once all day long for him.
Once I removed them and installed them on his car, I took a right turn and felt the hop now that my bar is on Georges (Spiffy's) car.
It (the bar) sits low currently, but now that my black car lives at APE, it (the bar) will be redesigned this week
If its for a daily driver that wants stock suspension, then they shouldn't keep the bar on, and only strap it on for the track.
The only welded parts are on the bottom of the A-arm, which mean they're the only parts that cant easily be unbolted and removed for daily driving like the main bar and side bars.</div>

PRICING
The first 6 folks to buy this setup will get it for a price of $200 SHIPPED. They all will be in RED, it's the color APE is using.
Pricing after this goes to $226 plus s/h, so probably about $240 to $250 dollars.
All sales will be done through Flyryde's site at the following link.

werd fing02.gif We hope to be purchasing enough parts to build 10 kits off the bat. They'll be completed and shipped out about 2 weeks from the time we have the parts. If anything changes, or I'm told to inform you of any info, this thread will be updated right away. So far 2 people who run their RDs hard fell in love with this part. And everyone I've sold the bushings too is in love with them, so we really need to get as many of these sold as possible, which will pay off the time taken away from paying jobs to perform the R&D for APE. After the first 10 are sold, we'll likely be looking at new APE/FlyRyde parts right away.
New list of confirmed buyers:
1. REDZMAN
2. Viper966
3. 2uniq
4. Tiburonmoo
5. 1997tibby
6. JonGTR
I'm shooting for this list to be filled by monday so I can give APE a fat chunk of money to work with while I'm away in Canada. When I get back, I'll help finalize everything, and start shippin out!

Mad, I don't think he can do that bro. He's not making any money off of this first set so I think he needs it all.
