^^ LOL, bad week?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (javageek @ Oct 18 2008, 10:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>^^ Did you paint your cap? It looks aluminum in the first pics and plastic in all the rest.</div>
Yes I did. It matches my engine damper brakets perfectly. I used duplicolor high heat and altered the procedures as I've become an expert on it. It was painted using 2 light coats and 2 light-medium coats, not medium wet. 15 minutes break between coats. Sit for 2 hours, baked for 2 minutes at 400, cooled for 10, then baked at 400 until the paint can be smelled, cooled for 10, then temp was lowered to 350 and baked for 2 hours. This sucker will withstand 1400F heat and still be shiney.
btw.. it's been a month since I cleaned my engine bay and it rained this week so it's looking bad. I'm also in the process of redoing the nitrous wiring loom so it's a bit in shambles.

Looked much better before you painted it, but not a bad cap.
Hope you guys don't lose your emblems like I did on mine. I like mine either way though. SFR wouldn't even contact System Upgrade for another one.
...
Tom, see if you can get an extra sticker. Tell them yours was missing or something. LOL
Heat plus adhesive = lost badge.

You're all very welcome!! They are sending me something else I am going to try out and see if its worth the communities time and hard earned money. So keep your eyes out for another product from motor_ware here soon. (if they pass my tests first!)
REDZMAN - I will just let them know that they shipped one out with no Sticker. I'll see if they can send me a few in case any of you stateside guys manage to misplace yours again! wink1.gif
