Alright, well it doesn't look like I'll be able to get in on this GB unless it were to hold out a bit longer. So I'm going to have to say take me off the list unfortunately. If I somehow come up with the money soon (my birthday is coming up so maybe I'll get some cards in the mail haha) I'll definitely buy one, so if this is still open when that happens I'll let you know.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (REDZMAN @ May 20 2005, 03:47 PM)</div><div class='quotemain'>Chaotix, please don't double post.

I'm wondering, what's going to keep this in place?

Well, I know that the 3rd gen tib has a recessed area that the spare tire cover rests on, and that alone makes it stay in place. How are yours kept in place normally? I saw some clips and such on the one that was sent to me, but we can't put those on there. If there is a recessed area that it rests into, then that will be enough to keep it in place.

Ours stay in because of the recessed area as well.

Partially.

There is a metal clip that holds the forward most section though. I'm not too worried about it though.

oh man, marguard is awesome. its lexan with a mar resistance approaching that of glass.

is this just regular plexi chaotix? or acrylic? may want to look into acrylic if it will be cheaper...

what about some type of laminate to put over the finished project, cutting out the engraved areas. i know scc tried something on their project wrx to protect the paint job. you couldnt even tell it had a covering on.

Im sure it would stay in place fine without the extra piece that is usually there.
