HELP!!!

My needles are all messed up. Well the tempurature and gas one seem ok but not the others.

I rested the needles at 0 after the install but then I started to drive... when my car is idling there are at 4,000rpm and 70 km/h. When I turn the car off they go to 1,000rpm and 20km/h. Why do they move when I turn the car on and off??? Did I do something wrong or miss something to do???

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said on HA.com:
You need to reset the needles,... I'm guessing the springs are a little messed up

Take them out again, start the car,... let it warm up for like 20 minutes or so
Take the RPM needle off and stick it as close to 800RPM as you can, and take the speedo one to 0km/h

There is a "Wind-Up" in the needle springs.

as I stated earlier, I left the plastic cover off the gauges so that I could adjust the needles as needed. Make sure they are on tight enough not to send the RPM's from 0 - 8000 on one rev... but make sure they aren't too tight. I'm riding with the cover off for 1 week so I can adjust it over time and make sure it's right. I'm also gonna follow my friend on the interstate while on the cell phone with him to make sure I'm actually doing 70MPH when it says 70MPH

is this when the car is on (started) the whole time?

why 800rpm? or should it be what your car normally idles at?

just checking thanks

our cars (north american anyway) idles at around 750rpm,... so 800 is close enough.
