Default Winter Preparation for New Hobby

What's up guys,

Decided that since I have been to busy to really enjoy the car that I would take up a proper hobby to fill the urge.I have been wanting to see some track time and improve my driving skill but what has been holding me back is how much I have depended on the car for daily use. That concern is passing, and so is my want to do car shows/ audio comps as I used to. So on to the next one!

The only useful thing about winter to me is that it presents an oppertunity for me to have a modding frenzy. So this thread is about exactly that, I need advice on what I should look into for my new ideas of tracking the car. I will make it clear I do not expect to be the heart of the competition and that I will only be attending the most basic of events. Purely a learning and fun experience so that the rest of life may pass on easier.

So since I have had the car for 6 years now there is a couple things already in place and things need doing.

Inplace: Shark racing springs/KYB GR2's,camber bolts, strut bars and floor bar. Drilled/slotted rotors, QuietStop pads. I/H/E 1.8 cam/ecu, proper plugs and wires.C/f evo style hood, Rside short throw with KJB Bushings

What needs doing to fix and keep up with day to day needs: Bent to sh!t rad,bent to sh!t wheels on snow tires, high milage put still living engine.

Whats kicking around the garage: AEM wideband + pillar, Apexi SAFC,OBX cam gear,2.0 ecu, spare intake mani and t/b, spare 2.0 head

My plan of attack now ( Idea of budget) ;

I have 16's picked out with tires (205, 50's I hink), send I/M and T/B away for proper sizing, re-install with Outlaw Enginering gaskets/spacers, Honda half core (chunky aftermarket version), new poly mounts, and install collection of stuff kicking around.

Lastly the engine will not handle the pressure anymore so something fresher will be needed and same with the clutch.Driver seat and harness idea floating around might just do the seat for now.

Thats about, have a go at what you would do in this situation. I have no interest at forced induction at this point but future plans are possible, so at most supporting mods for the time being. Labor will be part shop time and part my time. Meaning I can prepare a new engine but the blokes at the garage will be putting it in. Alignment, new mounts for the rad and tuning will be all done at a shop so I imagine most of that time will suck up my budget hahaha! Time frame off the road in November back on in March maybe....

Thanks for reading that mess, any experienced help would be very usefull.
