Windows
I didn't know where to pu this did anyone else have a problem with there right side window not working rolling up from the driver side buttons and also has anyone had there spedometer stick ever(can't spell).
Do you have aftermarket gauges? If so, you may have pressed the needle in too hard when installing it. According to Random, I think he said you need exactly 2 ft/lb of torque...
About the window... this may be a stupid suggestion, but who knows... Have you checked if you accidently pressed the window lock button? It's one of the buttons on the panel... I know it's stupid but I've done that before... The stupid window wouldn't work, and I actually went to a service center and they checked for about ten minutes before finally checking that... Lo and behold, the button had been pressed in... hehehehe... why don't you try that?

Been there, done that, too!
I was tinkering with the fuses for almost half an hour before I even remembered that the window lock button EXISTED!
It's just so innocuous...how do you know to associate a little white dot with locking window access until after you've done this?

No I don't have the aftermarket faces yet my car still unfortunately is still stock I waiting for it to do it again and then I will talke it to the dealer.
The window I don't know but its not the window lock that was the first thing I checked I think the heat and sand from 29 palms screwed up the wires somewhere. I am going to the dealer soon for them to replace the motor in the window or possibly the buttons(switches). Just seeing if anyone had this problem.
Thanks for the replys

Windows...I still remember this from when by dad bought his. (1997). He called me outside to figure out why he could not get the passengerside window up. Tried the controls on the passenger side...nuthing. Tried the controls on the drivers side....nuthing.
Then I released the "window lock" button...and it worked like a charm. Only Hyundai could be so stupid as to lock out the controls on the drivers side of the car...with the window lock. ON every other car I've ever seen, it only locks out the passenger controls. Anway....
If it's not the window lock. You could try to switch switches. Try the drivers side switch on the passenger side connector. If that doesn't work, it might be the wiring or the motor. Check the "wire tube" running from the inside edge of the car, to the inside edge of the door. See if that got pinched in some way.
In regards to the speedo sticking. If you have not messed with your gauges (aftermarket), then I would take it to the dealer. That should NOT happen. I think your speedo face may have become warped by the desert heat. Or the needle melted a drooped. Either way...you got rubbin' going on! (and rubbin is racing Son!)

Is there a way to cut a wire so that the Window Lock button won't lock the driver side window? I've got friends who play with the windows too much, but I might want to use mine, without having to push the Window Lock button again.
This happened to me earlier this week. My buddy was in the passenger seat and rolled the [power] window down; when I went to park, I tried rolling the window up fromthe driver's side- nothing. I played with all the buttons on the door- nothing. I looked over at the passenger door panel, and saw that the window switch was stuck in the "down" position. I guess it got caught on the 'switch surround trim lip' (or 'button cover thingy' if you like), when he pushed the switch down. That made both door controls non-functional; once I fannagled with the switch and got it back to it's regular "rest" position, both switches worked again. Weird, huh?
Check to see if your switch ever gets stuck in an up or down position.
