Does anyone here let other people drive their car? I refuse to do it except for maybe a tech at the dealership. Otherwise no one sits in my drivers seat but me.
I have let one of my close friends drive my car for 2 weeks when I was on vacation, he had strict instructions on what and what not to do, where to park, what kind of gas to put in it, etc.... LOL! Other than that, just me.

I am the Driver. Period.
It's a stick shift, that gets rid of a lot of people, including my sister... But both my parents drive stick too. I got rid of them, and all the others with a 5 point racing harness! lol

i've let one friend drive my accent, he butchered it because he cannot into stick. never again. thankfully the fact that it is stripped out, noisy and has an angry clutch deters most people. i'm definitely not complaining
i even cringe when people drive my beater(s), i don't know how it is possible to hash up driving a stock X3, but people manage.

For me it largely depends on insurance. Used to have an open insurance on the prelude ie any person driving it was insured. Haven't done that with the Hyundai, because there was no need so far (You can change insurance with prior notice for a day or so for veeeeery little money at least with my company).
Funny that with the manual deterring people. In Europe it is the automatic that "protects" you from strange drivers. It is compulsory to learn to drive manual and everyone stille thinks it is better
