Whats the best deal you ever got on a car part?
Just picked up an unused brand new set of H&R springs still in the box for my Elantra for $40. Thats a pretty sweet deal if I say so!

Last week got a brand new alternater and battery went to get them tested and the lady at Autozone dropped my alternater so gave me one for free. And the battery was under warranty
Quote from a mechanic on another car forum I frequent
never, ever, ever, NEVER buy an alternator from autozone. it WILL go bad in less than a year and cause a headache. you have been warned.

I got a MAP sensor for free the other day. I drove to seller's house, took the part off in about 30 seconds, and he's all like 'naww, dude you can just have that.'
Out of interest, I just called the wrecker's yard and they charge $70 for one!!! Seventy dollars of australian legal tender for a used MAP sensor for an X3.
