want my tibby to run faster!!!!
I want my 97 Tiburon(automatic) to run quicker. I am yet to get a mod to my engine. I want to know what everyone else did for their first mod to their engines, where they got it from, and how much it costed them purchase (unit cost) and then installation. Let me know cus I want to bring out the ride to burn those rice eatin honduuuhs! rolleyes.gif

First Modification for Everyone is usually a Cold Air Intake. (CAI).
KORE, MHP and SpeedState sell them. Prices range from I think $170 to $250 depending on which model/options/brand you go with. For your Autotragic tranny, you can only get the Speedstate or KORE. The MHP unit does not fit automatics if I remember right.
Next by popularity would probably be a cat back exhaust. KORE, Pacesetter, and Brullen make a set. I think they start at around $350.
Then Probably a Bored Throttle Body and Bored Intake Manifold. $300 for the set if you modify your stock units.
Then we go to Headers. Between $250 and $350 for either 4-2-1 or 4-1.
With the following mods, BatLord showed a 17 HP and 15 Ft Lbs of Torque increase on a dyno
KORE CAI
Shark Racing 4-2-1 Headers
Kore Cat Back Exhaust
There are other options not listed here...such as Turbo chargers $2000 Plus install/tuning, and supercharger $1300 + install/tuning. And of course...Nitrous Oxide. A 55 Shot of Nitrous should add about 45 Wheel HP to your car for around $800 bucks installed and tuned.
There are also some modifications you can do to your autotragic slushbox, but they are fairly expensive. visit www.levelten.com to read up on those.

You can also become a full-fledged paying member and get the Team-SR discount from Shark Racing plus stickers for your car with your member number. I would also recommend going to the meet on the 21st that will probably be held at the Park & Ride at Hwy 100 & I-43 (Hales Corners). Any questions, feel free to call me @ 414-213-5229
