Default Torque wrench

Not sure if this is the right place to put this but...eh

Since i've been changing me and my gfs tires from winter to summer tires over the last year. I have concidered getting one of these torque wrenches. They generally torque up to 450ft/lbs which is WAY plenty for a tire. I think you generally only needa bout 70-90lbs for a wheel. I hear mixed things about them and so on.

What do you guys think?

Dont have any experience with that brand, but everyone should own a really good torque wrench. I for one though never use an impact wrench on my lugs. Better to use a manual wrench and make sure the lugs dont get over torqued, like you hear of happening so many times at mechanics/garages.

Unless you can limit the tightening torque I wouldn't use them to tighten. Very useful to untigthen the bolts though.

ive ran a regular husky brand torque wrench for years, i think i paid 50 bux for it plus it has a lifetime warranty
its not dead nuts accurate ~ 3-4 ft lbs but it works fine for 99% of the stuff i need for it (head studs for example)

That's not a "torque wrench". That's an "impact wrench". I hear people confuse the terms all the time and it can lead to broken bolts. I told a buddy to use a torque wrench to install his valve cover. He thought I meant impact wrench and actually got mad at me when he broke his plastic valve cover.

This is a torque wrench, and yes, you need one:
