Default Ticking and clicking

So I have read some post's around this site that recommended OEM oil filters to reduce or fix ticking noises from the engine. I finally gave it a shot, I had been using K an N oil filters with out much of a difference in the ticking noise, it helped a little bit but not much compared to standard box store filters. The OEM filter however lived up to the claims being made on this site and I would recommend oem filters to everyone here.

As far as the constant clicking at the gas pump nozzle, normally I would get about 1.5 - 2 gallons in the car then the click fest on the gas nozzle would begin. If I kept it at a slow pace of filling then there was minimal clicking of the gas nozzle. I went ahead and replaced my canister back by the gas tank, it solved all my problems, 4 fill ups from 4 different gas stations with out one problem.

Good on ya man. I haven't got it here, but I saw a great comparison between a generic autozone oil filter and an OEM honda filter. There was a huge difference in the material, bonds, and sealing between the two. I really should stop buying shitty autozone filters and go get some OEM jobbies.

Interesting how an oil filter can cause engine ticking. Where's the best/cheapest place to buy OEM Hyundai oil filters? Ebay I'm guessing?

Not sure what I paid as I bought an a/c belt and the filter along with a new drain plug washer but the total on that was about $28 or so from Roseville Hyundai, not bad for a dealer price if you ask me.

Buy them from your local dealer, with a crush washer.

I got 4 filters for $22 after tax, and they are better designed than the $15 a pop Mobil 1 filters...

People really do have this fear that the dealer is overpriced as hell, but if you take the time to call them and ask, most OEM parts are CHEAPER than aftermarket, and work better as well!

Things I will only buy at the dealer from now on:

wiper blades

oil filters

gaskets

plastic trim clips

cut keys

Wix is more expensive than the dealer filter by a buck.
