It drops 8mpg in our V6 Tib cruising on the highway to run the A/C vs. with the A/C off, windows up, and sunroof closed. Verified with the fuel economy gauge on the multigauge, and in back to back fuel tanks when I was on a long road trip. It came out to be 31mpg vs. 23mpg cruising at 74mph for the most part. The sunroof seems to drop fuel economy by about 1mpg based on the multigauge, but I haven't done back to back tests of entire tanks.

Damn you guys' fuel economy sucks. I regularly get 31-32MPG in mixed driving, with the standard transaxle. With the auto, best-ever was 34MPG on a highway road trip. I'd anticipate at LEAST 34 if I hit the highway with the standard.

I get better than most people with a V6 Tib.
In the Accent if I'm not running the A/C I can get up to 42mpg highway. My normal tank gets around 36-38mpg though.
