Default Stock 1/4 mile time?

I'm going out to the drag strip today and was wondering what a 2000 5-speed Tib is supposed to run. I will run the car again when my CAI gets here to see the difference it makes for all who are curious.
I have removed my exhaust resonator and the intake resonator. Should not make a difference in times just sound.
If anyone knows the times I would like to know how me and the Tib are doing vs. professional drivers. (remember their times are corrected to sea level).
Thanx team and I will post my times sometime tommorrow! smile.gif

My times were a little disappointing.
E.T. 16.801
MPH. 822.077
Reaction. .508
60 FT. 2.504
That was my best time out of 5 runs.
In that race I was running against a civic SiR. He ran a 16.353 at 85.563. I was very frustrated considering everyone says you can beat them no problem. I don't know if he had anything done to his car but when I asked he said no.
I did get a lot of tire hop for most of my runs. I also think that by removing my intake resonator I actually lost some power because of the turbulent air flow. I will race that civic again when my CAI gets here and my Tib will eat well that day!

A stock tib has little against a stock sir, they are lighter smaller and more top end. The resonator lost you some bottom nd due to heat but gained on the top end. a stock tib 5spd will run 0-60 ~8 sec andthe 1/4 ~16 sec, this is at sea lvel and 60c. Temperature and altitude hurts, with that sir running 16.3 and you 16.8 your not that far off and that sounds about the right difference stock vs stock ( to the sir can run 15's at sea level ). A CAI and Bored TB will get you into his range. Also you can not just compare a 1/4 time unless they are from the same location/conditions. My 16.22 is at 700 ft elevation and 70c temperatures with an incline, if I were there I'd prob run 17's and hi 16's to.

With just a CAI I ran 17.2 with .480 reaction time in my 97 1.5 s.o.h.c accent 5spd thats in georgia not sure of the alt and others with my new exhaust full synthetics, upgraded mass air, my APEXI super AFC I hope to improve on that number very soon!

I will be running at the exact same track and I hope the conditions will also be similar.
