Default Squeeky Steering Wheel?

I have a 2000 Tiburon and everytime I turn my steering wheel it makes a squeeky sound. Does this happen to anyone else? It doesn't bother me too much since my stereo is blasting most of the time, but when it is quiet I notice it.

My 6 month old 2K1 Tib just started doing this a few days ago. It only happens when it's cooler (morning & night) for some reason. During the day, it's fine.

Geez!! I posted a topic on this and nobody answered me. Hahaha It only happens when my shark is parked in the sun and it's hot in the car. When I use my sun shade, it doesn't do it at all and once I get the A/C cranked up or the windows down/sunroof it stops. strange huh? rolleyes.gif

I investagated this issue w/ my own ride, theres plastic round the steering column and the under side of the dash, when its cold the surrounding plasic contracts not much but enough not to rub on other parts.when the plastics hot it rubs against other parts,I think this might be something we might all have to live w/unless mods are made.
