No, it really doesn't, our torque curve is so flat, you could shift out of first at 4000 rpm or 6500 rpm and it would end up in second with the same amount of torque. BUT...the fact that our engines do this is a GOOD THING. It basically means you wind it out to redline, shift to next higher gear, repeat....it makes life easy on the driver...

That makes it pretty equal for normal driving and racing. I graphed it out and it's pretty much ~110-~120 lb-ft of torque from 2500RPM up to 6000RPM.
