replacement antenna
Is there another cars small antenna I can use to replace mine with on my 2nd gen tib. I've seen the retractable one but I want just a small one, kind of like the one that comes on an S2000.
any one of them should work (i think). You just have to wire it into your existing antenna wire, and probably mount it in a diff place. (eg. along the hatch line, like you see with many CB antennas) good luck in your search!

Make sure, if you plan to change only the mast it comes with the proper adapter.
The adapter screws in at the bottom of the mast then into the mount.
I had to change my complete mount. I could not find the right adapter. The new mount was of better quailty. It works great.I use a short mast 8 inch with a spiral inthe midle. It also comes with an F.M. booster.
You can find these at any auto part store.

I picked one up that didn't have QUITE the right adapter. I rigged it up with a small section of old leather shoelace jammed in there. It was thick enough to cause the varying thread sizes to bind on one side, and provide enough friction for the other side to bite into the leather and stay put.

just shorten up the stocker. pull the ball of, cut the antenna, grind down the tip of the newly shortened antenna and put the ball back on. I've done this to my j2 and it looks good and i still get good reception.
