i was at my local dealer getting some service and i test drove the new kia minivan (hey i was bored!). they say it has a 5speed automatic transmission. i has pretty good pickup for a minivan. anyhow, how come nobody having a 5 speed automatics aren't popular?

 

I would imagine that 5spd autos are very expensive to build not to mention HEAVY! It isn't very performance oriented to have such a big transmission! That is why you have 5spd man. trans More fun to drive too!!! wink.gif

5 speed auto trannys are large, heavy and complicated...so there is more stuff to break.

I'm supprised Kia offers on with their 10/100 warranty. wink.gif
