I was wondering if any of you guys have ever used it. I was thinking about getting some because I know a guy that was able to get quite a few more miles off of a tank of gas by using it and it helped his car perform better. So, any knowledge on it would help?

BTW, I figured this was the best place for this topic. rolleyes.gif

search fxtreme there was a huge debate over this, but the end result is it only helps prevent detonation not make your car any faster, so unless your using FI of somekind dont waste your money

I would go for fuel injector cleaner, rather than octane boost. About every 10 tanks to keep them injectors nice and clean.

other than that, it won't do much but prevent detonation, and I doubt if you run into that problem. Even if it ups your mileage by 30 miles per tank...that is only one gallon of gas, maybe two. Most octane boost products cost more than 2 gallons of gas.

I use the fuel injector cleaner, I used to use the octane boost every once in awhile, but I found what Random said to be true. It costs about two gallons of gas and doesn't really do anything. I would recomend the fuel injector cleaner though...no complaints so far wink.gif
