People do it because they say someone can get private information about you. How would someone even go about getting said information from a license plate if it's not blurred out? My brain tells me someone could go to the DMV with the info and try and get it that way but then the logical thought in me would say the DMV wouldnt just give it out to anyone who asks.

 

Yeah, I'm not sure about that either. Maybe they're just afraid someone from the DMV may stalk them? lmao.
