Default LED or Florescent

Getting ready to add some lighting to my garage. Sick and tired of using the one little screw in lightbulb to light up the garage. I see LED fixtures are much more expensive. Anybody have them or is everyone using fluorescents?

Get a retractable fluorescent light to hang from the ceiling.

Flourescents in my garage. Would like to go LED as it's supposed to use less energy, be earth friendly and last 10 times longer than flourescent.

Except that LEDs have even worse color spectra than fluorescent! I put a quad outlet box where the screw-in bulb used to be, and ran 3, 4-tube 4-foot fluorescent fixtures from the outlets. One near each wall (none where the door would cover it when the door is up). It's like the sun in there.
