Hmm...I looked through the installation manual and one of their configurations was basically exactly the way to do it on an Alpha or Beta. Don't think I've seen a DIY though.

I have a DIS 4, so it'll be a little different. At one point, I wanted to feed 4 coils individually.

I had 4 individual MSD Blaster SS coils being run off a DIS2. The Tiburon has a wasted spark system, so even with 4 coils, there's still only two channels (hence the reason for only 2 coils from the factory). I'll see if I can find my write-up. I originally posted it on HP.com if you feel like searching. Pic of my setup:

I didn't want to run wasted spark. You can't do that with a dis2.

I'll still try to get pics but I've been sick since Tuesday.

See pic above. DIS 2 (not 4) running 4 coils in a wasted spark configuration. I split the trigger wires. One trigger wire fires coils 1 and 4 the other fires coils 2 and 3.

From my HP.com post:

"I have them, but my wiring is going to be different from yours ('01 Tib). Because of this, I can't give you wire colors. However, I can tell you that you want to attach the trigger wire (-) from your 1-4 coil to the MSD's channel 1 input wire (white) and the trigger wire (-) from your 2-3 coil to the MSD's channel 2 input wire (green). Attach the positive (+) wire from your original coils to the MSD's thin positive wires (red). You'll then need to split the MSD's channel 1 (-) output wire (brown/white) and attach the two wires to the negative posts of your new coil #1 and coil #4 and split the MSD's channel 2 (-) output wire (brown/green) and attach the two wires to the negative posts of your new coil #2 and coil #3. You then need to attach the MSD's positive (+) output wires (brown/orange) to the new coil's positive terminals. Then hook up the thick red and black wires to power and ground.

There's a diagram at that link.... page 11. The only difference is that you need to split the wires to 4 coils instead of to one coil, like in the diagram."

You didn't understand me. I didn't say you could not use 4 coils on a DIS 2. I am saying you cannot run 4 coils, fired individually as a non-wasted spark system, on a DIS 2. That is because it only has 2 channels. A DIS 4 has 4 channels. I was not going to use a wasted spark system. I was going to individually fire 4 coils. Your 4 coil setup, with wasted spark, is dividing the energy between the 2 coils, therefore not optimizing the coils potential output. It's getting "half" power. And even less in wasted spark firing.
