How popular is Hyundai in Europe, like Spain, France, Germany, etc...
I know the occasional Tib owner from a European country signs up here, but you dont hear much from Accent, Sonata, or Elantra owners in Europe. Accents are popular in Australia but again, you dont hear much from people who own other models there. Does Hyundai mostly market themselves to the US and Korea only?

Hyundai is a joke in Europe, I just been to America and New Zealand, and the rest of the world get good Hyundais (and the Kia Sorato Koup-we don't get that), in Europe the cars they make are stupidly small engined eco-warrior cars, the Coupe is seen by many as a fluke, the only good car from a poor maker. As for the Accent, its the best of the rest, and even have a UK Accent club alongside 2 coupe clubs, but both are long gone, and now we have cars that are the size (and as powerful) as washing machines!
Well here in Croatia Hyundai was and still is quite a popular vehicle brand. Accent/Verna is the one of the best selling cars overhere (mostly due to a low price) as well as Lantra/Elantra. Until recently Coupe/Tiburon were present but rather rare. THat changed in the last few years. I know that some guys I know are present at XD forums with their Elantras. It is a shame that big engine cars are rarely available overhere though one can import it. For example XG was never sold here but was being sold in Austria. GT GK's (2.7 V6) were sold in a respectable numbers. Anyway it is much to the HMA distribution service centres overhere who are unwilling to import stronger cars with main reason being rather small interest of the customers for the big engine cars. Well, I am still waiting to find a good way to acquire a Genesis Coupe.
Hyundais sell well in the Uk, but their not brought by people who like cars, they're brought by old ladies who like the cheap price, theres no enthusiasts following for any except the Coupe and the Accent, both of which are long gone off the Uk market.
