Default How much is your car registration?

Its different in every state so I was wondering how much it costs where you live to register your car.

Roughly about $85, and that includes City wheel tax, County registration, and State fees. It varies by city/county and I believe mine are among the highest for the Nashville, TN area. $10 (or $5?) annual emissions testing fee not included.

In Australia, your registration fee includes a mandatory 3rd party injury insurance policy - that is, it covers the other person's medical fees. So, here's the breakdown of my last licence fee:

Licence fee: 60.75

Insurance: 114.77

GST on insurance: 11.48 (GST stands for 'goods and services tax', it is a general tax on everything, it was meant to replace tariffs and duties)

Stamp duty on insurance: 12.60

Recording fee: 13.05

TOTAL DUE: 212.65

That is for 6 months of registration. I'd rather just sort out my own insurance, but yeah. That's the deal Australia wide.

Over $500 for my Mustang. But everyone in NV thinks it's great we have no state income tax. Bunch of stupid lemmings.

Tennessee has no state income tax. We pay under $100 per vehicle, regardless of age, type, etc.

depends on the year here. i think its around $80 for the sticker (yearly registration) but if you have to get your emissions test which happens every other year you can't get the registration without showing that first. that test is around $50 i think...

and if you have a bad one like i did last year you also need to pay for your license to be renewed every 5 years. had all 3 and had to drop over $200. bastards.
