My dad remembers a time where there were none, especially between NY down. They're increasing $ and adding new tolls to make up for state deficits. Preposterous.

I pay $0 in tolls, ever. I take an additional 30 minutes in traffic to save $8/day on tolls. I only pay $4/day in gasoline like heck am I going to pay twice that for tolls. Have the State and Federal governments stop blowing my gas tax money on non-road-related B.S. and then come talk to me about tolls.
