Not even energetic enough to google the CPI and average wages in various countries, but yeah I agree. Scandinavia does it better.

I'm tired of the hike for premium. It's getting expensive enough that I think I'll have to switch back to the Accent for a daily and leave the Miata at home. It was an 18 cent bump from regular to mid grade and a 20 cent bump from that to premium last night.
Regular: $3.16
Mid Grade: $3.34
Premium: $3.54
38 cents extra per gallon for premium. I could have almost bought a gallon of gas for the price difference when I started driving in 1996...only 17 years ago.

So we all "invest" (more like piss away) thousands of dollars annually into our modified cars and complain about an extra $270 annually in fuel increases over the last 5 years?
