... and the average income in Norway is also much higher. What's your point? They also have much better roads, paid for with the higher taxes that cause the price to be that high.

Not even energetic enough to google the CPI and average wages in various countries, but yeah I agree. Scandinavia does it better.

I'm tired of the hike for premium. It's getting expensive enough that I think I'll have to switch back to the Accent for a daily and leave the Miata at home. It was an 18 cent bump from regular to mid grade and a 20 cent bump from that to premium last night.



Regular: $3.16

Mid Grade: $3.34

Premium: $3.54



38 cents extra per gallon for premium. I could have almost bought a gallon of gas for the price difference when I started driving in 1996...only 17 years ago.

So we all "invest" (more like piss away) thousands of dollars annually into our modified cars and complain about an extra $270 annually in fuel increases over the last 5 years?

Rather than complain, I bought a diesel. The Volt was my first choice, but it was $12K more than my Jetta.
