Default Garage Lighting Options

I really need to setup better lighting in my garage. All i'm using right now is the Garage Opener light (2bulbs)....lol.

What is the optimal placement setup for lighting? Florescent is probably what I'm going to get.

Pics of lighting setup would be nice too

Thanks!

I put a plug where my door opener bulb was, and plugged in a 2-tube 4 foot fluorescent hanging fixture to that. This is a huge improvement.

Then I put 4-tube 4 foot fixtures on the ceiling near each non-big-door wall and ran them off the wall switch. MUCH better. It's like daylight in there . . . when the ballasts will all strike an arc

Fluorescents are definitely the way to go. Get at least one per car (2-car garage = 2 lights). Makes all the difference in the world.

For simplicity, go with no longer than a 4ft bulb. I have several 8ft fixtures and storing spare bulbs sucks. I love the 8 ft 4 bulb lights.
