Alright, I am getting a tad sick of stupid questions. So I wrote this up.

This is for EVERYONE. You need to get into your hyundai drive down to the dealership and pick a the Shop Manual and Electrical Manual for you car.

IT should cost about $20 for the shop one and $15 for the ETM. THey will probably need to order them.

Just about every question can be answered.NOw you are thinking why? I got Webtech. Webtech is for checking quick little sh*t or refreshing your memory. It is both HIGHLY inaccurate and misses lots of details.

If you get the book for YOUR year car. It will have everything you need to practically build the thing!

GO DO IT NOW. No...dont spend $40 on window washer lights! Go get the BOOKS!

ok, well, maybe shadohh had a contact at the dealership, but i paid $95 for the shop and $75 for the electrical, which was about 1/3 the size of the shop. anyway, do the fuking research. i spent 11 months making sure that i had EVERY washer and nut to do this. i actually have parts left over that i didn't need. i probably spent $200 on stuff i didn't need, but that's ok, because i spent all the money on the stuff i needed to do it right. if you have to bring your car to a shop because you started the project and you couldn't finish it (some kid's been pestering shadohh about this), i hope your car ends up in a junkyard and you never drive it again! you can't rely on other people's hard work to provide you benefit. that's just fukd up. if you do the research, and buy the manuals (you really need them), it will go much more smoothly than people can tell you, as long as you have some mechanical inclination. the first time i clutched reverse to back out of my driveway was, quite possible, the best feeling i've ever had. furthermore, had i achieved that feeling through the work of someone else, i'm sure the feeling wouldn't have been as intense, and that i would feel like a puss. uh, if you don't know where my post is going, look at my fuking sig.

I'm pretty sure the manuals will be AT LEAST $50, if not more; I don't know what it'll cost up here in Canada, but i'll go to the dealership monday to get a quote and let you know.

If you can get them at $20 each, you'll HAVE to organize a group buy dude smile.gif

thanks shadohh... sorry for all the stupid questions. i checked with my dealer a long time ago and they were too freakin lazy and told me to go to napa or discount auto and they should have it...well they have them for the accents and sh*t but not the tibs... i think it's time to get in the bad mood and go on a marine type anger spree to the dealership.
thanks again bro, i will try to reframe from stupid questions in the future. if you have not heard, marine stands for "muscles are required intelligence non essential"

For my 1999 Tibby, there were 2 "shop" manuals and 1 Electrical manual.

For the 1997-2000 years, they are combination tiburon/elantra books.

They ran me about $120 for the three book set from my dealer.

Someone had posted a link to the publishers website, so that you could order them straight from them, and save the dealer markup...but I can't find the post or the link in my favorites.

Maybe someone else has the link saved.

Hey man, dont take it personally. IF you got questions I will answer them. I just like if sometimes you all would look first.

I mean, its not like I got any special place to get answers.

But, I think Random is magical and Red is enchanted: P THats why they know so much

nah, nothing personnal bro. sometimes the answers lay in front of us but we get so mixed up we dont think befor we act.
i've been wanting to get a manual and the guys at the dealership were jerks and pawned me off to go to a napa or discount auto to find the chilton manual. so for months i searched and waited for them to get it and they never did. so now i get the great pleasure of walking into the dealership to ask again, but this time not so nicely.
i do thank all of you for your great wisdom.
