Buy a CAI
Bore out the Stock Throttle Body
Bore out the Stock Intake Manifold.

Those three mods will set you back about $600 and should had about 6-10 HP to the wheels.

Buy the equipment you need to make a Random Special CAI...you can get all the stuff you'll need there.

NGK Power V Copper spark plugs...won't give an HP increase, but they'll improve the smoothness of your idle and give you a more complete burn than platnums.

Heat-wrap your stock headers.

Uh...there really isn't a whole lot of Pep Boys style cheap improvement mods....that's why it's cheap and being sold at Pep Boys.

Oh yeah....there is one last thing you can do...YELLOW STICKERS!

Sorry, man...sometimes we get all caught up in our acronyms, and assume that everyone else knows what they are.

Cold Air Intake - some sort of setup that allows your car to breathe in cold air from outside the engine bay. Most run a pipe down to either the front of your car, behind the foglights, or into the front wheel well. Random (the moderator) has designed a pretty good one. Do a search on the forum in the Engine Modifications area to find all manner of pictures, instructions, and testimonials.

I haven't had any first-hand experience with them, but everyone seems to be happy with the SplitFire plug wires sold by Shark Racing.

Honda's Suck, don't worry about knowing all these acronyms. You'll learn a lot just reading posts. And the poster Random knows his stuff, he's not jerking your chain about cars. Iago knows some about cars, but not about driving directions smile.gif hehehe j/k
