DO you put your name on your tools?
Never thought about doing it until a co-worker mentioned that he etches his initials into every single tool of his. Seems like a good idea but too much work. I would rather just keep all my tools locked up in a box and never lend them out to anyone.

at home, no i don't. but at work i do mark my tools. you never know when you may forget where you leave your tools and someone not so honest finds it and doesn't return it.

I work in a "big" but small employee shop. There's 4 main tech's including myself and they all have a good collection of tools as do I so there really is no need to steal or borrow. So I don't engrave mine. And after every job I put them ALL back in my box, even if I know I'm using them again in 20mins, to make sure everything is there.
