When braking to make a turn there is a delay in activation of the accelerator of several seconds. Dealer says it is designed to function that way to prevent sudden acceleration accidents. It is maddening and I think it is dangerous. Is there an after market chip that corrects this built in condition?
Uuuhhhhhhhhh........
Horse and carriage, yeah, I could see that. Horses need to eat and poop.

Honda civic with a HU-MUNGO turbo. Yeah, probably gonna have a few seconds of turbo lag, then whip lash ensues.

What are you driving? We need to know that before anyone can make an informed comment on this. : )

Ahh! You do have a horse! 😆
Depends on how it's been maintained. I remember there being quite a large throttle lag on the v6 Gen Coupes, and that was off the showroom floor!! That was the main reason I didn't go after a v6 gen coupe.
With the v6 and v8, expect some bit of throttle lag, but shouldn't add up to seconds I wouldn't imagine. If so, maybe it needs a tune up, new air filter,Crappy gas, tps sensor woas. I'd start with the basics and go from there. I'm not that familiar with the equus. I'm sure someone with experience with the car will chime in.

Did a little digging. Looks like the Genesis guys have had issues with this as well( apparently why my initial test drive literally "drove" me away from buying a gen coupe)
Here is the link:
Delayed throttle response genesis
Seems there is some kind of flapper with magnets????
Also, I'm guessing it's drive by wire. Which means, they could of totally tuned it to act sluggish. Why the Flying F### they would do this is beyond me. But it's a possibility.
I'd take a look at that thread and then go see if you have anything remotely like what the Genesis group is complaining about. Looks like a few fixed this by removing some flap and magnets sitting in the way of the air intake?!?( WTF Hyundai??? Really???)
Good luck! Hope you figure it out! If you do, update this thread so others can learn how to correct this.
