We are in the market for a new highlander SUV, but don't know if it is worth it to go new over the superseded model.

What does the '17 have extra?

And is there a release date or a manufacture date that it is better to go past?

And I am confused with the 'MY16'. Sellers seem to put anything that they want.

Any advice would be appreciated.

In Australia, is the Highlander another name for the Santa Fe? Because here in the states, a Highlander is made by Toyota.

 

Yes here, the Highlander is the top of the range Santa Fe.

Base model, Active, Mid level Elite, Dearest Highlander.

But I am confused exactly when all of the safety gear was added.

including Auto emergency braking, that I would rather have.

I am looking for the earliest model that has it.

And interested in what the last model got extra.
