yeah, go out, take out a loan for the amount you need to pay EVERYONE off instead of getting the parts to them and then that will be that.

instead of just hoping that some people will forget about their loan they gave you and complaining about all the people harassing you (since you have their money, parts, etc) just take out a loan and pay every single person off.

since they loaned you money for the past few years, you should probably pay it back with interest for inflation.

I usually stay out of flyryde business. I've heard too many bad things about Blacktibs. I'd never buy anything from FlyRyde. I perfer K-Spec or SFR, because even though they never respond, they at least get products out.

Blacktibs: We understand that money is tight. It's tight for everyone. Is this your full-time job? All of those parts you have laying around.... You need to liquidate that shit, and take out a loan to get the rest of the projects complete.
People have been waiting on parts for months upon months. You are using future projects to pay off past projects. It's understandable that the headers are waiting at customs, but the fact that you still havn't sent out the bumpers or hoods is inexcusable.
You are running a business. It would only take one complaint to the Better Business Beureau to get you nailed to the cross.
Seriously, take out a loan and get things straight so that you can build the reputation of FlyRyde. Then business might pick up.

I don't think anyone here wants Flyryde to fail completely. We're all pulling for the business to fix it's quirks and become a good source of revenue and get to the point where it's giving back to the members.

I've talked with Chris several times, dozens of times. Taking out a loan really isn't the best way to go about it, especially with rates the way they are and the inability to pay. If he can't pay us, how is he going to pay a bank? I realize we all want our money/products, but Chris would likely be pushed into bankruptcy and guess what? We wouldn't get anything, it'd be written off for good. He's already taken out loans in the past to get some refunds and projects finalized, but I know what he had to go through with that fiasco.

I hope we see success from FlyRyde soon, for the benefit of everyone involved.

mwood - Chris was great in the beginning, he made his own products and shipped them out fast, prewired, everything you could ask for. He is trying to take the next step and streamline the business with more than just RD Tiburons, and it's an uphill battle he seems to be losing. He has A LOT of positive history with the site, and that is why so many members have been understanding and forgiving for so long. This isn't like so many of the rip-off 'businesses' we've seen over the years in our community, it's obvious Chris still has his heart in it to make this thing work.

Chris does have a full-time job that requires him to travel out of town, he's been trying to hold up the family business and keep it running, he has a pregnant wife to take care of, and a dozen suppliers and manufacturers to hassle for our products. Also, a complaint to the BBB wouldn't help anything. If you look, he's already been trashed enough with the BBB. That could potentially HURT his ability to take out loans to pay us back.

Chris, I e-mailed you a couple weeks ago. If you get time, shoot me back and let me know what's going on and if/how I can help.

Yea, I have no intentions of railing Chris with fraud charges or anything. Lawyers and Attorneys make too much money anyways.

He's a good guy, but these debts are becoming his achilles heel.

Chris, I basically just want some good news for once. How about we agree on a payment plan? If you can give me your word that you have the Genius front bumper in perfect condition (because that is how I bought it) and the tailights in hand and ready to ship to my address, then we can just do a cash value refund for the header pre-buy I paid you. Like take pictures of it with an atomic clock with date and time and your ugly face and products in hand if you have to (haha, sry.. lmao.gif ) and then take pics of you boxing it up and putting a shipping label on it. SHOW this site (or at least me) you are taking initiative.

We ARE patient, but there is a limit to everyone's patience. I think I've done pretty damn good with 2.5yrs behind us..
Chris, what you need is a thread showing all the things you ARE doing (like refunds), which I believe there already is.. It just needs a little more activity! lol.gif

Im going to jump in here also. I dont know how long Ive had money out to Chris. And even though communication is tight sometimes I believe in the guy and believe he is trying to set things right. The people that do have money invested here arent nearly as pissed off as the people that have nothing to do with it. It doesnt seem to me that Pat is mad, and I know Im not. Chris took a little to much at once and got pushed around by a couple companies and it went downhill. Nobody thinks he is running away with the money or anything, we just like progress. I think once the headers come out most of this will be done with.

And I agree that noone wants him to fail. Well, a couple people do but whatever. I plan on ordering more from Chris in the future. AS soon as I get money Im getting a Koyo from him as well as any other parts I need I will surely have him get me a quote on. I hope the loose ends are tied up soon so we can move on.

I'm just glad I started off well. Otherwise I'd have never dug the initial hole. But yeah it does seem that the people who are involved are supportive, while still pressing hard on me to get it all together. The people who don't have money involved, look at the people who do as "out of luck", "ripped off" "scammed", etc. and who could blame them for thinking that way.

I do pray that this header ordeal is my big loan, and there wont be any source to pay off later. The owner of the Manufacturer talked to me today and really apologized for the wait. He told me he'd give me a discount on the headers to make up for it! So hey, its only a little extra I'm sure, but it'll be that bit extra that pays for all my crap.

The nice thing I always try to remember, is that while new people come and go from this site, and community, I've been here for years, and I've earned my respect way back. Granted I've tarnished the hell out of that respect, its still there, and just needs some polishing. If you guys saw me posting up about my new car, or my new stuff, meanwhile I never paid you back for anything, it'd be FBI style business slaughter, I'm positive. Fact is, my car, and my rep for that car have just been collecting dust, but it's all still there. I have 3 RD tibs, all of which I take apart and build back up with my two hands alone. I contribute more than most will ever know to this little niche market, but for now, I'm sucking at providing evidence of that. But of course, money talks, and that first 5000 bucks will pay off the monkeys on my back. The second 5000 or so will pay to dust off my rep, and show you guys all I've got. Plans are big, potential is huge, and right now, the biggest change to this community that will ever happen is about to go down, and probably 98-99% of you guys have no clue about it. Meanwhile, I got some monkeys flickin my ears everyday till I make some dough. I just hope none of you think that my business plan is to make a bunch of sales on car forums for Tiburons, and I have some crazy notion that one day it'll pay off big? This has been my hobby, and I've sucked at it (business wise) and there is plenty of evidence of that. My supporters somehow feel something behind all that though, and that is why when most of you see the big picture, you might actually understand what glimmer of hope these dudes have/had. [/rant for the month]
