Ok, I'm going to try to piece out some semi big brake kits for us over here on RD.

I'm looking to include in the package

2 front rotors, 11" drilled/slotted or both

XG350 front 2 piston calipers

Axxis, or Posi-Quiet Brake pads

and some rough DIY of sorts.

Right now I do know that my prices for the 2004 Sonata w/ ABS Rotors are 110.00 for a set of two front 11" rotors.
100.00 for Tiburon front Rotors
40.00 for front Tiburon Pads
65.00 for full Tiburon Pad set.
40.00 for XG350 Pads.

I will sell total packages with either front Sonata Rotors or Tiburon Rotors, and for the rear all packages will have Tiburon rears as that is our only option as of yet.

All I need are some competitive prices on the XG Calipers.

Please anyone with some info on this Semi Big Brake Kit please inform me. I'll even start a new thread about it in Suspension.

How big are the stock front disks? Is 11" a big difference over stock?

thanks

That's plenty big enough.

Sad to say, if the other Chris doesn't get them US Brakes kits going soon, I'll prolly go with these.

If the price won't be too high, I might sell current rotors and pads and get new ones from you man.

Hmmmm... this will allow us to upgrade all 4 calipers and rotors..

im in..

just find out what the hell needs to be done...

FlyRyde 03-15-2005 09:36 AM

still not sure that this changes a thing in the rear. If so that'd kick ass, but we're talking about readjusting the ebrake with a new setup from another car and all that shiz back there is a bit more involved than a front swap.

Anyone know what options we may have for rears?

Jaws021 03-15-2005 09:44 AM

well let me know man..

If you want i can check out westways and see what cars they have junked.. All i need is a spare tiburon caliper

BT, or anyone else...check back on the XG350 Semi BBK thread in the Brakes/Susp forum.

I think the GK Tib rear calipers should be easy bolt on (well, Mike thinks so). If this is true, then it does mean we can get a full "semi" BBK going, and it shouldn't be too pricey.
