Holy crap it finally happened. I got to Hotshot, and we're finally all set for everything. I spent a bit of time with John today, who was pretty cool about people calling in to bug him about the headers. He wasn't pissed or anything thank God. Anyway, expect to see the headers, the 2.5 inch catback, and the Rad hoses within a week or so. I took FOREVER to get him all the stuff he needed, but he has it all now, and I'll be there tomorrow to bring him the muffler we'll be using with our catbacks. I'll post pics of the muffler tomorrow.

FINALLY guys, but lets just wait and see if all goes well. He was trippin when he saw that the car had been there for about 6 months. He didn't know it was my daily driver up to the point that I brought it in. I got the RD2 up and running today and drove it for the first time. So I'm mobile again smile.gif MANY new doors are now open for me to go through, and I wont stack up projects on top of eachother again. John was telling me about how it was when he started 12 years ago, basically making sure I was staying true to my Hyundai guys. He thinks its great the way we all work together, and was actually really helpful today even though he was running out the door to pick up his daughter. I was kinda speechless when I left, like... Damn? It finally happened? LOL soon my friends.

Ok, I got a bit chewed out yesterday by the sales staff at Hotshot yesterday. Pat decided to send them an inspirational email, which blew up in my face.

Guys I want you all to forget any of this has something to do with Hotshot. As my manufacturer, they are not responsible for my orders whatsoever. So when people call in to complain about FlyRyde, they for one aren't talking to the right people, and two they take up the time and patients of Hotshot, and when I show up i get chewed out. So please send the "Im tired of waiting" emails to me guys. I really dont want to sound like a dick, but I'm not even supposed to let people know its coming through Hotshot because of customers calling direct like this. It creates tons of probs with customer service, they dont know your details, you're not their customer. They cant, and WONT sell anything branded FlyRyde to anyone but Chris. They wont deal with anybody about flyryde products besides me as well. So its a set system and for me to come in and cause problems off the bat is exactly what I didn't want. I had to talk to Johns wife for about an hour yesterday to straighten things out and make sure she didn't have any issues working with us. Scary stuff guys.

Anyway, like I had mentioned before they couldn't progress any until I brought in some pieces. I brought them in, and yesterday I finished up by leaving them with a burnt tip angle cut muffler which will be on the first 2.5" FlyRyde Catback system next week smile.gif

Not only that, but the equal length header with it, the rad hoses, and lastly the Airram Bar. People paid for bars so I gotta make em regardless of what else is out there.

But they're on my stuff guys, so keep everything positive, and hit me up if you need updates or feel the need to push things along a bit.

-Chris

I had originally posted for people to contact HotShot as a joke. I saw that it might not be taken that way, and I tried to quickly delete that post.

in defense of Chris, PLEASE Don't contact HotShot. That's the worst way to do business through FlyRyde and get our products developed. Chris has explained that it's HIM we're waiting on, not HotShot, so don't contact HotShot

in defense of the members, there are a few people who have paid out $100's waiting for products and after months and months we're still waiting. It seems as if we're no further than we were 3 months ago. It's not going to be easy for future endeavors to get people to pay cash up-front when they see that it may take 6+ months before they receive any product.

Thats why I may not offer you guys new parts any longer. I cant juggle the questions and headaches while my part makers are lagging on me. We'll see, but until I wrap up what I promissed, there's a very short list of new things I'll make. Otherwise I'll have to just be normal and pay for startup myself and not offer discounts up front. Then I can just sell when everything is ready. Its nice to be able to work with the community on what they want, but its just been all I can do to keep sane when nothing was getting done the first 3 months, and then Hotshot needed me to come in with parts I took back in January, and my damn car was on their lift.

Its been rough for me the past 6 months making everything work. But I think if my parts come out on time, and start making some money, I'll be a lot easier going for new stuff. I need to see this for myself, as I HATE having people waiting for new stuff with their money in my account. Its no fun for me either. I just want to make a decent living for all the trouble, lol. So we'll see, I think they will be kickin ass for us Tiburon guys over there now. I finally got them everything they needed, and damn do I hope it all pays off.
