Let me know what you think guys. I'm going to redo the angel eye videos with even better DIYs and info to go along with a application specific kit. I'm so glad I dont have to make my own angel eyes anymore, lol. These things are so bright they light up the front of my house blue when I pull up in the driveway. They're super bright in the daytime as well, even from far away. Its basically a round circuit board with a bunch of surface mount LEDs that put out more light from each one, than my old angel eyes do in the whole ring. I wish I had a new CF hood on for these pics, but I had a sick kid and plenty of time where I had to stay at home, so I swapped my old angel eyes for these new ones.
Kits will be 60 for the RD1, 80 for the RD2
They come in White, Red, Blue, and warm white hooked up to an included toggle switch.

Even with the lowbeams on these things are very bright and visible. I think they're putting out more light than the headlights!

Vehicle: N/A as in Not Applicable, not Naturally Aspirated
Cold Cathode Flourescent Lights man.. In a glass tube.. MmmMmmm. There's nothing quite like that smooth even white glow..
But I would like to see what you have in white (and warm white, whatever the hell that is).
What is the mm ring size? (inside/outside diameter). There are lots of ccfl "kits" out there in standard sizes, I'll be the guinea and buy one if it's close to what RD1's need..

I'd do CCFL as well if I find a supplier with stupid cheap prices. If not oh well, I'm only interested in making money. Put it this way, other companies are selling these same angel eyes for like 200 bucks right now, so basically I'm just charging my cost on the rings, plus the cost of materials for the wiring and switches (like my old kits) and a few bucks for my pocket to make it worth doing all the work to produce vehicle specific kits.
I'd say the best size rings for the RD1 are 80mm and the RD2 I think are 90mm (small) and 110 (large). Not positive on the RD2 until I do a set.
As far as strobes, etc. what I've seen so far is that these can be hooked up to any kind of effect modules out there. They're just 12v lights. lol I hooked them up to my 18v cordless drill battery and damn near blinded myself. I was worried they'd be TOO BRIGHT when they were hooked up to that, almost too bright to look at. But at 12-14v they're bright enough to see from across a parking lot in the daytime. If anyone wants to pick up a set in another color I'll do the install for free if you ship me your lights and pay for shipping. They come with a white backing to them, which looks great with the chrome bezels. I wanted mine to match my painted bezels so I literally just painted them, and removed the paint that covered the face of the LEDs. My guess is that with custom color bezels, like OEM Red or Blue for example, painting them would add that final touch to the lights (as opposed to looking like something that didn't belong in there).
I'm just gonna start taking orders right away, and unless I find its more trouble than its worth for what I'm currently asking, I'll keep the prices really low. I used to charge 165 plus shipping for the acrylic rings I made on my "halo machine" so taking that part of the process out of the picture I think 60/80 + shipping is perfect for this market smile.gif
Anyone who wants to order a set, please do, God knows I could use the money, and I want to get a few sets of these out there to see if its gonna be worth putting in all the time to market these things with install vids, tons of pics, and other offers like control modules and what not.

I've got an extra set of RD2 headlights or two...
Can you get the dual color ones? I'd love to have WHITE and amber for turns.
