Well, sent my $200 last night. Just have to choose a muffler now! fing02.gif

So the mufflers will be angled out like in the pic above?

Also would you guys/girls recommend a 4.5" tip or one of the smaller ones?

majik 06-14-2006 03:40 PM

I'd get the burnt tip angle cut or the 3.5" fireball angle cut personally

If possible can you get just the axle back in 3 inch mandrel bend piping ONLY
I already have a N! Apex I angled on my car
Let me know and PM me please
Thanks

Nope, sorry bro. ^^^

Soon I'll have the first of the turbo kits on the Black car, and we'll do a 3" turbo back exhaust. But not until then. I'll let you know when they're coming out so you can get that piece then. Why do you need it?

Ok then when would you be able to get a 3 inch mandrel bend exhaust?
I can get a Full Cat back 3 inch mandrel bend without the muffler or resenators
Can this be possible? smile.gif

REDZ... I wasnt' sure what you meant by your question. Are you worried about passing emissions testing? How strict are they in ABQ? What do they test (OBD-II,visual on cat, and sniffer test?)? Or are you concerned with gas mileage after adding the exhaust?

REDZMAN 06-16-2006 09:24 AM

Emissions, sorta. I'm wondering what to do about a cat. I want a cat in my system. When I put my GT Headers on, the first cat is gone. If I hook it up to this exhaust, and there's no cat, then I have to get it cut later and the cat added. So I want to know if there's any way to get the cat in from the get go.

They are pretty strict, every 2 years, OBDII inspection, and some do a visual inspection. As long as everything looks okay, you can have aftermarket out the YIN YANG.

Not really worried about gas milage, just want to have everything working right. With my traveling, I also don't want a reason to get harassed.

FlyRyde 06-16-2006 09:44 AM

Well, its a CAT back, so it'll use the existing 3 bolt flange catalytic converter which is directly after the D/P from the header. So for emessions, this will have the second cat still if that clears things up. I'll also do a line of high flow cats with welded on hangers and 3 bolt flanges. But yeah, I dont think any exhaust for the tiburon has ever ditched the second cat? I'll offer test pipes too for those of you who want free flowing straight through exhaust.

Down the road, Rob, I'll have a full turbo back, no anything, just turbo back to the axle, under it, and N1 style with 3" the whole length. I even have super light titanium mufflers. But they're like 300 bux. Anyway, I'll offer the turbo exhaust as is with no muffler, resonators, etc. And I'll either have them with the muffler on, or off for special requests. We'll get there when we get there.

REDZMAN 06-16-2006 09:49 AM

Okay, I understand now man, I've never seen a good picture of the headers allthe way back to the end, so I wasn't sure how this all worked.

I'm just wondering how this will hook up to my GT Headers.

Tell you what. I want the exhaust, and the high flow cat/hanger setup, with some piping on it, and I'll get that section fitted here (I'll let you know what flanges I need, I'm not sure with the GT Headers). That way I get the headers put on, the exhaust put on, creep to the nearest auto shop, have them trim the cat piece to the proper length and weld on the flanges.

Sound right?

BTW, use some high flow cats with the 02 bung in them mang!
